Serving the community of Oahu since 1996 with support of the Free Spirit Sailing Club, the Captain's Club registered with the State Of Hawaii as a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation in February 2003. This was followed by receiving notification of it's tax free 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service in April 2004.

With a volunteer staff, funds raised go directly to the operation of Captain's Club programs. A small percentage also covers administration costs. This care enables operations with a budget of close to only $10,000 per year. Though significant an amount of money, tight stewardship results in profiting only those youth we serve and rewards felt by being part of this worthwhile mission.
